Be prepared to frolic!
Join Lewes Friends English Country Dance for a joyful winter celebration in honor of Lewes250. This festive afternoon of music, movement, and community welcomes dancers of all experience levels. Period attire from the 18th century or Regency era is admired—but absolutely not required.
Adding to the excitement, WBOC/WRDE CoastLife will be in attendance to film the event. Come dance, celebrate, and earn some serious bragging rights!

Entrance:
Enter on Mulberry Street (residential side of the church)
Look for the white Peace Pole with Hebrew lettering
A short set of steps leads up to the Parish Hall
Parking:
Available on nearby side streets including Market, Mulberry, and Chestnut, as well as free marked spaces near the Lewes Historic Society.
What to Expect
New dancers are most welcome
Some advanced dances may require beginners to sit out briefly, at the caller’s discretion
Dancing takes place on a beautiful varnished wood floor
Please Bring:
Clean, non-marking dance shoes (no street-worn soles)
A water bottle
Hand sanitizer (or use restroom facilities)
Your smile—and a glimmer in your eye
Dance Etiquette
All callers and dancers are expected to treat one another with respect, helping to ensure a civil, dignified, safe, comfortable, and fun experience for everyone.
