Celebrate America's 250th anniversary through public art with Mirroring Lewes, a unique outdoor sculpture installation commissioned by the Lewes Public Art Committee. Created by local artists Heidi Lowe and Nate Landis, this striking work honors the people who have shaped the story of Lewes from the early 1800s through today.

The installation features nine silhouetted figures, each representing a community member whose life and legacy helped define Lewes across generations. Together, the figures create dynamic lines and perspectives that invite visitors to walk around the sculpture, reflect on the individuals it represents, and consider the enduring impact of everyday citizens throughout history.

Located in George H.P. Smith Park, Mirroring Lewes is a meaningful stop for residents and visitors exploring the community during the America 250 celebration. The sculpture celebrates courage, resilience, creativity, and the diverse individuals who have helped make Lewes the remarkable town it is today.

Whether you're interested in history, public art, or simply enjoying a walk through the park, Mirroring Lewes offers a unique opportunity to experience Lewes' past and present through the eyes of local artists.

Come experience this one-of-a-kind public artwork and discover the stories of the people who helped shape the First Town in the First State.
